Enjoyed the Accidental Anarchist documentary. Interesting to see second recent mention of Abdullah Ocalan, Bookchin and democratic confederalism (other recent one being Adam Greenfield ‘s talk at Virtual Futures.)
Kind: Notes
lve found though that sometimes a monolith can help. e.g. though I love vim and its key bindings, an IDE of some kind, whether it’s Visual Studio or Emacs, can really help tie things together. The key is providing a wrapper around well defined components, not rebuilding everything from scratch. This is where there is great value in something like known or the WordPress lndieweb plugins.
The Unix philosophy makes sense when it comes to indie web etc. Various small components doing their jobs well and interacting with each other through defined formats and protocols.
l like the idea of Delta chat. A way to have ad-hoc group chats that doesnt require anyone to necessarily install anything new. I’m not sure it executes perfectly, but I like tihe idea. I want something a bit like appear.in but just for text chat.
Enki app is really nice. Mini exercises and games on coding and comp sci topics.
Playlists should not exist on siloed platforms. I should own them, they should be in some standard format, and when I choose to play one various music streaming platforms should be available to service the requests for tracks.
Tracks that I have loved over the last 10 years are currently mostly spread out over last.fm and Deezer. Wonder how I can pull those in to my own site?
Deactivated Facebook account a while back, no big repercussions. Helps that I was barely using it I’m sure. Organising meetups with people via email so far.
I suppose just going to Posts admin, setting it to Excerpt View, and using Quick Edit is the most straight-forward way of doing it.
Is there a quick way to go through all untagged WordPress posts and tag them?
