"Players will use Gardeners to gather resources like water and compost and then will play cards ranging from dill to strawberries to butternut squash."
I really like TESA board games ([[Space Cats Fight Fascism]] is a winner!). Though with this one, part of me thinks maybe it’d be better to try and find an actual community garden to participate in. Still looks fun though.

I work a 4-day week, and I’ve just started doing a module with the #OpenUniversity in my spare time at the moment, doing a short independent research project. My topic is ‘how can #ICT workers support a transition to #ecosocialism’.
More from the angle of how may tech be involved in a revolutionary overthrow of capitalism; less how can we just make IT more ‘green’.
For my own edification mainly, but ultimately hope it’ll have some utility to others too.
I work for a charity in the UK called The Restart Project (https://therestartproject.org). We help people learn how to #repair their broken things; we get stuck in with organising community repair activities and supporting independent repair businesses; and we campaign for the #RightToRepair.
I also volunteer at my local #RepairCafe, fixing IT equipment.
Handy discussion around the #degrowth and #GreenNewDeal strands within #ecosocialism – their tensions and their overlaps. How to appeal to a broad base, degrowth does not mean austerity, etc. Also a bit around nuclear power and solar radiation management and their problems.
On the [[2022 Pakistan floods]]. The paucity of the global response and the effects of debt servitude – the majority of Pakistan’s taxes go on debt repayment.

they’re a network of social/ecological justice centres organising in the informal settlements in Nairobi. Working for collective power and economy from below in the face of broken healthcare, education systems, unemployment, police violence, disappearances, extrajudicial killings, state apathy and NGOism. Inspired by democratic confederalism and organising in Rojava.

Community-based, volunteer organised, local 5k run or jog or walk every Saturday morning. They’re all over the world.
